We have mentioned in other blog entries that CBT has been shown to be effective for substance use as well as other issues like depression and anxiety. Because CBT is so effective, numerous researchers are trying to figure out how CBT can be made more available to people. We are currently administering CBT based interventions targeting substance abuse. Although our program touches on depression and anxiety, it isn't something that we target specifically. If you find that you struggle with either of these issues, please check out this website: Mood Gym. This website educates about causes of depression and anxiety, uses examples to make sure that you understand the concepts fully, and is interactive. We have all checked it out in outpatient and have began recommending it for the clients that come to groups. Check out this useful website and let us know what features you enjoy!
